JULY 2nd

DAVID BRIDIE + DANIEL CHAMPAGNE
July 2nd
7.30PM: DOORS
8.00PM: DANIEL CHAMPAGNE
8.45PM: BREAK
9.15PM: DAVID BRIDIE

This show brings together 7-time ARIA Award winning songwriter and composer David Bridie and one of Australia’s top young folk acts Daniel Champagne.

David fronted Not Drowning Waving and My Friend The Chocolate Cake in the 80s and 90s before releasing the first of his four solo albums in 2000. He still plays with MFTCC alongside composing music for film and TV but his solo career has been a focus in recent times and we are excited to have an Australian legend like David join our stage. We’re also pleased to have some keyboard on stage finally!

If you haven’t seen or heard of Daniel Champagne the best thing to do is watch the video below, then go watch a few more, and come see the show. He has been touring North America with Ani Di Franco of late, and has played many of the biggest folk festivals in the world in the last few years. He is a great in the making and we reckon he will knock some people off their seats on July 2nd.

Today I saw the future of Folk – Festival goers flocking in their thousands towards the main stage to witness the young musical phenomenon from Australia dish out an absolute show-stopper at the evening’s end.
