The Mae Trio and James Kenyon will be in the round for the first set, alternating their perfectly crafted songs for what will be a captivating 45 minutes of music. It will also look amazing with a double bass, cello, violin, banjo, and several guitars all on stage.

The Mae Trio can safely lay claim to be the hottest young folk band in Australia. In less than a year they have gone from relative unknowns to releasing a brilliant debut album, getting booked on every major folk festival in the country, and touring the UK and the US, resulting in a live broadcast on the BBC in front of 4,000 people at Celtic Connections in January. This is just the beginning and we are excited to be part of the ride.

James Kenyon released an album through Vitamin Records in late 2012 and it was called ‘The North Pole’. It is a peaceful, patient album and one by one, it is spreading it’s seed, and music fans are falling in love with Kenyon’s poignant, subtle lyrics and melodies. Check out this video for 35 Degrees, it’s a favourite of ours.

All that to say, and we haven’t even spoken about Liz Stringer. You simply don’t get a more authentic, emotive and quality singer songwriter then Liz Stringer. She is a golden nugget and we are so proud to have her in this first program.
