We have announced a cracking line up for ya in July with one of our all time favourites Shane Nicholson in solo mode, 7-time ARIA Award winner David Bridie, guitar maestro Daniel Champagne, Cash Savage, Fraser A Gorman, The Yearlings launching their new album, Ruby Boots, Skyscraper Stan, Aluka, Liam Gerner and a huge 6 act night of Melbourne’s best up and coming acts.
The first month has gone like a dream for us with 3 sold out shows and 1 not far off it, pin drop quiet audiences, people describing it as their new church, free cookies and pizza, lots of Mountain Goat beer and some of the most incredible performances you will see. Jordie Lane, Lindi Ortega, Denise Scott (hilarious cameo), Melody Pool, The Little Stevies, Davidson Brothers, Liz Stringer, The Mae Trio, James Kenyon, Marlon Williams, Mick Thomas & Suzannah Espie, all brilliant and unique.

We are very excited to be having a double pre-launch concert! It’s our own, before the official launch of The Melbourne Folk Club on April 23rd (already SOLD OUT!!) and it’s also the pre-launch for Tiny Ruins new album Brightly Painted One, out on May 2nd through Spunk Records.
Tiny Ruins has been one of our favourites ever since they released their stunning debut album Some Were Meant For Sea in 2011. Originally from New Zealand, Tiny Ruins have been touring around UK and Europe for the past two years, and recently toured with Calexico in Australia. This record will be out on Bella Union in the UK, and with all the buzz building, we get the feeling this year is going to be huge for them.
