Don Walker is without doubt one of the most iconic Australian songwriters of all time. As the keyboard player for Cold Chisel, he wrote some of their most classic songs including Flame Trees, Choirgirl, Cheap Wine and Khe Sanh. He has gone onto a highly successful solo career which has included 3 acclaimed solo albums and has also released albums with Catfish and the band Tex, Don & Charlie.

In 2012, Walker was inducted into the Australian Songwriter’s Hall Of Fame, and Khe Sanh has was voted the 8th greatest Australian song of all time by APRA in 2001.

This show at The Melbourne Folk Club will be a very unique opportunity to see Don playing songs from his back catalogue solo on the keyboard. He will also be joined by some special guests on stage, including regular guitarist Roy Payne who also open the show with a solo set.

It will be a lesson in the true art of songwriting and there is no more intimate environment to experience it than The Melbourne Folk Club.
