We kick off our new series of Classic acts with legendary Canadian act Harry Manx.

Once a month we will be putting on an act that has established themselves in history as one of the greats, whether it be as a songwriter, instrumentalist, singer, or all of the above.

Harry Manx is just that. He has released 11 acclaimed albums, been nominated for 6 JUNO Awards (Canada’s version of the Grammy’s), and touring the world to sold out audiences year in year out, not least in his almost second home of Australia, where he has played every major festival and venue for over a decade.

Manx blends blues, folk music and Hindustani Classical music, performing on the slide guitar, harmonica, six-string banjo, mohan veena and Ellis stomp box. It can be complex and entrancing, but at other times, Manx also delivers on the perfectly simple, with our personal favourite ‘Don’t Forget To Miss Me’.

All in all, it’s an honour to kick off the classics series with Mr Harry Manx.
